FREE PEPPERMINT ICE-CREAM! green balloons filled orchard rd today. its juz part of a strategy by starhub to publicise their plans and deals.
good for the ice-cream man who gotta this job, cos the queue is really really long. bet he had never sold so many ice-creams in a day before!
SEE! this is the way to publicise. and even if theres a long queue, it doesnt mean sales will improve. signing a plan (be it mobile, internet or cable) is not like buying sth. even if the whole stack of pamphelts will given out within an hr, doesnt mean pple is interested, they juz take it for the sake of taking.. so? its not our fault if sales does not improve. it depends on how the salesperson pushes for the deals (as suggested by mr shaun, which i totally agreed).
and out of curiousity, i asked the 'boy' giving out pamphelts how much is his hourly pay. $7 per hour, same rate as me. and he stuffed a stack of pamphelts to me.
knowing how tiring giving out pamphelts can be, i 'collected' all the pamphelts that they gave. it isnt really easy to earn money!
