finally! i bought my own laptop!

initially i thought this 'kind soul' (whom surprisingly volunteered to help me carry the laptop from suntec to my home) was really helpful. obviously, i was fooled!
and in the end, luckily theres still some true friends ard...

and after we unloaded my stuff,
wc and i went TM for dinner.

heres the highlight..

we went coffee club for dinner cos i had this voucher.
due to some problem, the image wasnt printed tt clearly.
we asked the waitress if its accepted. she went to ask her manager, and came back with a YES.
and who knows, upon payment..
waitress: uob and citi has 10% off. but its either voucher or 10%.
-since its more worth it to use the voucher, we forgo the 10%.-
i waited for so damn long...
guessed they must be calling up other branches to ask how to key in this voucher.
a higher rank manager came: "the original voucher looks like that with a serial number. and because we dont see your serial number here, we cant accept this voucher."
and now..
THE OLD ADELINE IS BACK!
ade: but i did ask your waitress whom confirmed with the manager, and they said can. and after i finished my meal, u tell me u dont accept this?
hrm: oh. the filipino is know. so he is not sure.
ade: so how i am supposed to know whos new and whos not?
hrm: but we cant accept this.
ade: so wat do u want me to do now?
hrm: u can print this again, and use another time.
ade: do u know when is the last day for this? its tml. because its tml tts why i make sure i make use of it today. why would i wanna come back to coffee club again tml? or do u wanna extend my expiry date?
hrm: let me check with the mgt.
-and they continued with the calling-
hrm: ok. we really cant accept this voucher. but we can give u a piece of cake?
ade: but we are both very full.
hrm: the cake is $6 (thinking tt i will accept it cos the voucher is only $5). so its higher value than this voucher.
ade: then why not u give us each a piece of cake?
hrm: we cant.
-dont wanna carry on cos wc&me are damn tired.. we went to choose our cake-

the filipino asst. outlet mgr came and apologised.
if i knew hes new, i would make such a big fuss la.
cos throughout the entire dinner, they really served us quite well.
i must comment they are efficient and friendly.
and then,
hrm came with a box and said " so sorry. these are your oreo cheesecake and strawberry cake."
wc&me were like HUH?
we thought we were having the cake now? and we were rejected for piece of cake each?
BUT WHATEVER!
and when the waitress came with the bill..

waitress: sorry abt it. this is your final bill, and u will still get the 10% off with your uob card.
